He used to write Aunt Mary to encourage her when she was working for Civil Service in 1948 at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, Illinois. Aunt Mary had worked at the Galesburg Hospital, but left her job in 1947-1948 to be married to a guy from South Dakota. She took the bus ride to South Dakota, saw how desolate it was and cancelled the marriage and returned home. Her job had been filled, but her boss in Galesburg found her a job in Champaign, Illinois, but she didn't like it there so she found the other job in Rantoul.
Albert married Mary A. about 1883. (Mary A. was born in May 1862 in New York.)
