Home Up

I got on the air at midnight Mountain Daylight Standard Time on July 3, 2003, for the first opportunity operating on 60 meters.  It was SO CROWDED, and the California stations were calling everyone to the East one or two hours prior to their true MIDNIGHT.  My first QSO was with K7RJ, Ron Jones in Salt Lake City, UT.  I have decided to wait until things settle down until I try the band again.  I used my ICOM IC-706 which transmits fine in the 5 MHz range at reduced power to meet the criteria set-forth by the FCC of allowable power versus antenna gain.

If you'd like to share your 60 meter experiences with me, I'll be glad to post them here...just email me on the "envelope icon" shown below.  The reason I post this instead of my actual email address is because most email "harvesters" do not recognize the GIF image like they would if I posted my K7__@YYY.com address.  I'm tired of 300+ Spam Emails daily.
